Hi to all members here.

I've been riding off and on for about 12 of the 35 years I've been licensed. Two years ago I got back in the saddle with a 2005 Kawasaki Nomad. While it was and is a great bike for cruising I found it lacking as a touring machine. It was a pleasant surprise when my wife enjoyed being on the bike as much as I do.

Two weeks ago we took a 2009 Goldwing out for a test ride. When we got back I was told we had to buy a new bike. The 'Wing was just so much more comfortable that she had to have it. I liked the performance and handling so I tried my best not to argue too much ;). We're now the proud, happy owners of a brand new '08 Black Wing, US version.

Our first trip to Toronto (550 miles return trip) showed us the things we need to change, hopefully at Americade next weekend. I need highway pegs and I think the Kuryakin ErgoII with Switchblade should work nicely but if I can find the Mick O' Pegs then that would also be an option. My wife had a lot of buffeting with cross winds of 30mph and higher. She felt it was worse than on the '09 that we tested. Hopefully a deflector or 2 will help.
