I actually ride an R1200RT but am fixing up an 82 year old friends 96 GL1500SE. He managed to survive a 55 mph dip into a gravel shoulder but he needs the front fairing rebuilt. I offered to get it back on the road for him to sell. I found instructions at this site helpful and figure this may be the best way to get things figured out.
