I have been searching the forums for several months as I became a proud owner of a 1980 gl1100. It needing a LOT of work. I am retired from the navy and from another company and wanted to mess with a motorcycle. As it happens I cam across a GW that interested me so I purchased it. It has been out of service for several years. Having to do almost a complete rebuild. Is why I have been reading almost all the help posts. Thanks again for all those that have posted the how to and added a lot of help in other ways. Thanks to those folks I have been able to rebuild the carbs and master cylinders and almost everything else that needed help. I hope to ride it before summer is over.

Got the carbs back on and started it up. It started in about a half second of cranking. Now to get the carbs calibrated. Got new ss brake lines to put on but they sent the wrong size bolts.document.write('/forums/images/emoticons/confused.gif');

Waiting for my supplier to send new ones. progress is slow but steady. Thanks for all the welcomes. I hope to finish up working on it for a while so I can get it on the road soon. and see if it is still fun. And some day meet some of you folks.
