Inever owned anything but Japanese built motorcycles. My first bike was a 1968 Suzuki. Currently ride mid-70s Yamaha XS650s.

I am really interested in a 1996 gold wing with 50K miles. It is in nice condition and has a few accessories added over the years.

If that one falls through I will keep looking. By the way, does $7,500 seem like a reasonable price these days?

Is the one you are looking at an SE, or an Aspencade?
That's what I paid for mine 4 years ago. Mine's a '96 SE. At that time, I saw several for around $8,500.

However, it seems to me that the prices seem to hover. The '96 will probably sell for that same price 5 years from now.
On the other hand, with this economy, prices should drop.
I think it's probably about a fair price, give or take depending on condition and accessories.
