Hi Everyone:
I'm a long time owner of a GL1500, but recently found a 1976 GL1000 for sale in my area. The ad said that the bike hadn't run in a few years. I decided to look, and found that it was for sale by the orignal owner and hasn't been on the road since 1985. The bike is unbelievably clean, all original and in great shape. I bought the bike, all excited to get it running again....only to find out that nobody wants to work on the bike. The Honda dealer won't touch it because it's twenty years old. Other local mechanics said " I'll call you if I run out of work" and " I maybe can get to it in a month or so". So I find myselfhaving to do some or all of this myself. I'm hoping between the shop manual and some much appreciated help on this forum, I'll get some road time before it snows here in Minnesota.
Thanks for reading myfirst post!
