:waving:Welcome and Hello . Huge Thanks to you for your time in service to the Country . :claps:

There are quite a few folks on both sides of the big pond who have built there own trikes . I think most would say to build from a 1500 with reverse , though I dont know how needed that is . With being careful of your parking it may be no obsticle at all . Others may have you check out Insta Trike or the likes which are basically training wheel kits . I can tell you my wifes uncle also a Vet was not happy with that system , as it left him stuck several times . He did have to travel some unpaved roads though .

If you open and look at the very top of the "Goldwing Technical Forum" I think its post 3 and 4 are about trike builds . There are others also who have done follow along builds of trikes . Best of luck to you . If you post a question in the Technical forum I am sure you will recieve some offers of information .

Enjoy the forums and visit often .

Hi Doc,

Welcome, I'm no expert on trikes but if you have mobility problems I'd see if you get hold of a 1500. I'm always careful how I park but most often its still a bit of manhandling but then I live in town and the roads are cambered.

My build is pretty basic with a box tube frame welded onto an MGB axle and bolted to the swingarm and using slightly longer shocks. There are loads of kits out there some that require minimal work to install.

I'm sure you'll find lots of help on here
Cheers
Bo
