Hello, I'm a new member and currently looking for a set of OEM Mufflers in reasonably good shape for a 1978 GL1000 ( I am the original owner ). I currently have a set of Jardines on the bike but I really don't care for them. Still have the originals thinking that I could rebuild them and was wondering if anyone else has tried that route. Any response would bee appreciated.

Welcome to the family Piper. As an alternative check out the FAQ & Tech sections for threads on using Sportster mufflers. A good friend (Ding Dong) has done this on his '76 & they look & sound very good.
