Hello all, I just got my first Goldwing about a week ago. She is a 1981 GL1100 Interstate. I have been checking out this site and it seems to be full of good members and good info. It sounds like I will be replacing the timing belts as soon as I work up the courage to tackle the job. From what I read here I need to do this. She runs great and I want to keep her running. I'll post pics as soon as I figure out this site and how and where to post them.

Welcome from another 81 interstate owner. There is a good write up on changing belts with photos by Octane http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/forum9/17422.html. Changing the belts is not to bad of a job pretty easy to do.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I just came in from the garage after replacing the front brake pads. The front brakes were sticking when I first got her. They are just fine now.
I guess the next thing will be to replace the timing belts and tensioning pulleys.
