Hello to all, Myself and a friend just bought a 1987 GL 1100 Goldwing that has been sitting for 7 years I do not have a lot of info yet because it is at his house and will end up his bike. I own and work on a lot of old shovelhead Harleys so he enlisted my help, now just because I am a Harley owner does not mean I have anything against Hondas or any other bike if they have two wheels I love them. So my first Question is can the tank be drained out the petcock looks to be higher than the rest of the tank,is there a drain or what, any help on what and how to get this thing running would be helpful,
thanks Paul

welcome to the forums
i will get better info

I will get some pics and better info on the bike within the next couple of days, I'm sure I will be asking a lot of advice, I really like this bike but it is a heavy son of a gun, did I mention it was garage stored for 7 years and there was still quite a bit of gas it the tank and it does not smell to good. I have a lot to learn about this bike as I said I have done a lot of work on Harleys but this is a new and cool creature to me.:praying:
