Hey Everyone:waving: I am looking at a 83 I project bike, with 64,000 miles, the seller sayshe was told it had a bad cam bearing. After warming up the engine will pull down and die. It makessense to me that a bad cam bearing could do that after warming up and expanding. But I wonder what all else might cause that to happen. What do you guys think?,,,make sense to you?:stumped:

When the engine dies, just hit the starter button again. If it turns over okay but won't start, then a seized cam bearing is unlikely. If however the engine won't turn over (even in gear on the main stand and trying to turn the wheel) tehn it could be seizing. Blocked oil path or bad oil pump could cause it.

I've never heard of that happening withlow miler GL1100. If thats the case, I'd definitely looking at oil starvation.
