OK , not an owner yet but I am closing the deal this weekend 4th ,2009.
As with everything in life I have to go the budget route and:waving: buy fixable stuff.
The local am radio station has a swap meet on the air called radio tradio kmj580
A guy had an 84 aspencade that was going for 2k so I expected to see the usual downtrodden weather beaten machines that I'd seen so many of. When I pulled up and saw the bike I had to double check the address, cosmetticaly a (9). He let me ride it and I noticed the ride was rough and expected the air in the rear was out. but the dash was working, had new tires and the metallic beige was so apealing and really, you had to look for flaws. Well I had no deposit with me and I could tell if someone showed up with the money, it would be gone. Called three days later and made the deal at full asking price. So maybe some shocks or repair air system and also front fork seals and after that just keeping up with it! I'm sure I'll need plenty of advice. Thanks for the site!
