I have owned 3 Goldwings, and 1 Silverwing. Still have my 93 Interstate, and just purchased a 2012 GL1800 Level 1. Took the 2012 up to Yellowstone in June to repeat a trip taken in 1993 when i purchased the 93 1500 brand new. The first gold wing was a GL1200 I purchased used, and traded for the 93 GL1500I. I Just could not trade in the old 93, it has taken me to many places, so I plan to keep her around for some short rides. Like this fourm
Thanks for heads up. I haven"t ride for about 20 years. retired got 2005 suzuki 1500. Good bike! Most of my riding group went to goldwings of some type. Being short legged was a little slow to go to the(top heavy) wing. That why I went older model. If I drop it a few time laugh and get back on!
Most new members don't realize that the Steve Saunders Goldwing Forum is much like an extended family and as such we like to get together on various occassions to renew old friendships and make new ones. For example, each year we put together a huge celebration called the North American Steve Saunders International Rally (NASSIR). Unfortunately you've just missed NASSIR 6 in Simcoe, Ontario however there is plenty of time to plan on attending NASSIR 7 which is being held in Fontana Dam, NC on July 8-10, 2014. If you want additional information please follow this lnk and it well take you to a dedicated information page for the event! Welcome aboard!!!
