I know that there have been a few members that had replaced their damaged sidecovers with the chrome replacements. I never liked those and thought they were pretty tacky looking. And I have heard of problems with the chrome flaking off . I just happened to be perusing the Cyclemax site and came across these.Cyclemax is now offering another option and that is a pair of unpainted ABS sidecovers that is still cheaper than the price of just one painted OEM sidecover. I can't comment on the quality but it could end up being a pretty good alternative...
