hi ya'all!
greetings from the uk!
today we became the owners of a gl1200 de
1984 interstate. just 35k miles!
stored for two years. the guy bought
a few bikes, one of which is this fantastic
wing in original condition!
the original owner has a bad back.
advised me that it's too heavy
for him now. we checked the bike over and
made a list of repairs.
1) mufflers have rusty holes.
q) is this an easy replacement for
rookie wing bike builders?
all the bikes we've restored, were
naked ones. no fairings, panniers.
2) the rear brake disk is rusty.
q) we've no pit, or bike lift to
replace the disk.
any simple suggestions to replacing
the disk please
3) what is the correct engine oil
for this stunner please?
4) what type of oil do you use
for the drive shaft please?
we're trying to find the correct
manual on pdf for the bikes specs.
can we find one on here please?
many thanks for any advice wingers!
kind regards
