Just want to introduce myself.

I live on the Massachusetts, New Hampshire border.

Bought a 1982 GL1100 Standard in September,after not owning a bike since 1979.

My first bike was a Honda CB360 which I had for a couple of years. Then I

bought a CB750 four. I bought it new off the showroom floor back in '76. It had

so much more power that the 360, I almost slid off the back of the seat

when leaving the dealer's lot, the day I picked it up.

I was actually looking for another 750 this time around, but couldn't find one

in good shape for the amount of money I had. I paid $1,300. for the Goldwing and

it is in very good shape. I've replaced the fork seals and will be changing the

belts this winter.I've taken the bike out a few times this fall,(don't want to ride too much until I change the belts) but I was curious if I would still like to ride at my age

before I put too much money into the bike.

I have to say I love it as much as I did when I was 20 something. My wife has been on the bike a couple of times and hasn't screamed yet, so I'm making progress.

Thanks for having me on this great site, I have been reading things on here for a while, and have already learned a lot from your experiences.
