Hey guy's Ireally like the site I just bought my first Gold Wing (84 1200 interstate) of course it has a stator issue but for 800.00 bucks I couldn't pass it up. Is there any new info on this issue. THANKS!

I recommend you post your question over in the technical section. Most of the gurus won't see it over here, and a lot more people frequent over there. Just a few of us greeters hang out over here on a regular basis.
Just saw your note about the 1200 stator and the $800. price tag beleve you me it only cost adout 150.00 for the stator and if you can read a book and have some mech skills you can do it in a weekend I did and learned a lot about the bike
Welcome from Oklhoma, this is a great place for information. There is a lot of information on the stator problem on this site. Try a search for poorboy conversion, there are numerous articles about how to install a car alternator on the 1200 without remmoving the engine. To replace the Stator requires engine removal if you want to keep it original.
