If they are legitimate autographs I wouldn't be surprised to see it sell. Dale Earnhardt Sr. has a huge following with Nascar fans still.

I think he's off his rocker myself, but you never know. It might be worth it to someone.

Let Leno buy it.

Not only Dale, but Rusty Wallace, Jeff Gordon, Allan Kulwicki, and Richard Petty...

I'm a NASCAR fan, and even though that bike's paint isn't exactly my taste, I can see that kind of value in it if the signatures are legitimate.

For the record, the Rusty and Dale Sr. signatures match pretty close to the known legitimate signatures in my personal collection.

You are probably crazy. But so is the owner of that thing. I'm sort of anti-bling, and I'm not a fan of useless, expensive things. I know I'm in the minority here.

If the paint is damaged on that bike - it couldn't be fixed by anyone but the original artist. This a purpose-built touring machine - that one couldn't ride the crap out of, for fear of the inevitable damage to the finish.

Pretty, but worthless as teets on a bull. [and I'm a big NASCAR fan]

I'd buy it with any of the drivers on it but Jeff Gordan, can't stand the cry baby. Wouldn't pay that price for it though.

yeah i agree it isnt worth squat really people dont collect a honda goldwing with pictures of the drivers and their names heck a autographed helmet would go better

unless you want to put it in a museum but most times people get custom choppers built or something that just sit there and dont even get started

I wouldn't buy it if he dropped a zero off the price

not for me. I am a fan of NASCAR also, but still, I could not enjoy that. Chip the paint and its' all over.

This is pretty much how I feel. I do see the art in the painting, but the price seems insane to me. I think that a bike like that is never worth more to anyone other than the owner that commissioned the work.

Once upon a time I went to an art gallery auction.

The highest priced sale was a piece called Minimum Expression.

It was a piece of white canvas in a frame with a signature. That was it, no picture no nothing , just a signature.

It sold for 1.2 million dollars.

As for that eyesore, I would burn it. I like nice looking bikes like Rudy has, but that kind of thing holds no appeal.

If the pictures and authentic autographs signed by George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, Eric the Red, King Authur, Attila the Hun, Baron Von Richtofen, and Mother Teresa were on it I might consider it.

I don't think so... That bike won't sell. Not at that price. No way....

So... a handful of NASCAR drivers, with their mits all twitchy and nervous, made error-free signatures over-top the artwork?

Ain't nothing about Petty's hands that have looked steady in many years. Driving a car and having chicken-scratch penmanship do mix unfortunately.

Call me a SKEPTIC fan... but even if it is all legit, it won't bring that kind of money.

I'll say one thing though... You won't fit all them drivers on a Harley. He had to use a 'Wing.

Now if it had pictures and autographs of Steve Saunders, Wexy, Dylan, Redbaron, AZGL1500, MDKramer, Flyone and REDWING (gotta see his face).

Ok that's8 and we are out of space. Will definitely need the trailer for any other faces (Gurus etc).

Then it might just be worth it.

That would be worth the price of admission. If I had any talent with photo editing, I'd take their pictures or avatars and see what that would look like!!:cheesygrin::cheesygrin:

Let me see.....NASCAR.... hopped up cars, taking left hand curves over and over and over and over again at high speeds? Funny how something so repetitive can become so popular.

It's definitely not for everyone.

Those of us that can appreciate what it takes to build a pushrod V-8 that will survive being held between 7,000 and 9,500 rpm for extended periods of time, and think custom fabricationshould actually achieve something - kind of dig it. :)
