Rode the wing to Kahneeta inthe Warm Springs Indian reservation today with the 16 y.o. daughter. Wing pulled down 41 mpg with the two of us and pulling the trailer. Weather was perfect! Guess the recent tune and such was good. I synched the carbs to within 1/4 inch even though they were less than an inch different. And that over the pass between McKenzie Bridge and Bend. Great ride for the two of us.

down to 41 mpg?

wow, my 1500s (two of them) never got better than about 36, and averaged about 33. But that is in wide open Arizona country running at 75+ most of the time with a Tulsa Super tall.
