No power to tail fuse

Hi guys i got the 81 gl1100 running today and after going over all the usual maint issues i found i did not have power to the tail light fuse # 3 from the accessory side .Any ideas as to where to start the troubleshooting?On my 75 the fuse box is open on the back the 81 is closed.Thanx in advance from mass.Jim

12 volts is routed to the fuse box from the Ignition Switchforinput to Head, Tail, Engine, and Intermittence fuses. I am not sure what you mean by "accessory side".

:waving:Exactly what do you mean by "the accessory side"? With the key in the accessory position power will only be at the accessory terminal and at the 10 amp accessory fuse which powers the accessory terminal. Also the audio system is powered up with the key in the accessory position. Turning the key to the on positionvoltage is nowavailable to power all systems on the bike. Also what do you mean that the fuse panel (box) is closed. The top is removal exposing all the fuses. Need some clarification.

The first place I'd look is in the old headlight bowl especially if someone has been working in there recently.
