No radio display after rain

I got caught in a down pour last weekend on my 96 gl1500 se and now my radio display is blank. I have gotten it wet before and had to reset the clock, but this is the first time it has gone blank. I just now noticed it and I have it setting out in the sun thinking maybe it will dry out. Is there something I can seal to keep this from happening?

You are either getting water in behind the instrument cluster or inside the rubber boot on the back of the radio.

I would remove both connectors and clean them then snap them back in and seal the wire entry points with dielectric grease.
