Just traded my '06 Road King on an '08 Goldwing 1800. All I know is (1) she corners like a gazelle and (2) I don't know nuthin' about a Goldwing. This is gonna be fun.

Thanks for all the welcome's. Lots of new stuff on the forums and lots of new folks to meet and greet.

I would love some ideas on which trailer hitch to install to carry my big flag on PGR missions. I need something that will extend past the tour bag. I may just have to bend the pipe a skosh to make it right. Only problem with that is then I will be "dipping" the colors just a bit.

The flag holder I built sounds complicated, but it really is not. I bought a piece of 1" black iron pipe from Tractor Supply. I bought a threaded coupling, grinded off the edges very slightly, and drove it into the end of the pipe. The threads are the same as the trailer ball stud. I mounted the flag on a broom stick with cup holders, then slid the broom stick down into the pipe until I could clear the garage door. Taking the flag off and putting it on is just a matter of screwing the trailer ball stud in or out and snugging it up with a 1 1/8" socket. Like I said, it sounds more complicated than it is.

Ride safe. Life is good.
