I have a Toro/Troybuilt 17hp Briggs mower. It is running a bit rich and I need to know where the adjustment is located on the carb.

Thats a funny name for a Harley :cheeky1::cheeky1:

Seriously ..I do not know ,but I am sure of our of RED NECK brothers like SB in SC will be along to tell ya :D

It is a briggs and Stratton engine ,Most mowers now have these ,so I would imagine a lot of our members will have the same engine in their mowers only the mower will have a different name .So come on guys 2 wings need to get the grass cut before he is in the dog house :)

I will move this to tech forum and I am sure it will get more attention .Ciaran

Listen to that Leprachaun!!:D

You can go to this site and see your particular model, and there are several, both a single and a dual set up. Briggs and Stratton Engine Parts

But basically there is only one adjustment screw.

On the right side of the carb, (right side if looking at the air cleaner opening) down a bit on the side of the carb, that is the air/idle/mix adjustment. It only functions at idle, so if it is burning rich during wide open throttle, you will need to pull the float bowl and clean the main needle jet, as something most likely is under the needle.

Heheheh, Is the AX pulling the arms off that kid????

If that is a new Toro/Troybuilt, You may find the carburetor has NO Adjustment.

Kinda torqued me off too when I found that on one.

Good Luck
