_____ Checking oil on a car.Make the oil dip stick accessable without removing tupperware. I check it once a week but it would be less of a pain if I didn't have to remove two pieces of plastic on my GL1500.
By the way new to me is 1981 GL1100i what happened to the site glass. I don't like that chrome thing in front of the radiator. I have to remove it to change the oil , right?Wish they still had the oil sight glass like on the older wings
AWWwww, I just had to . . .You guys check your oil ?![]()
You make a good point.I only have to remove the engine cover to check the oil on my 1800.
Maybe you should upgrade since Honda listened to you.
it's still there you just have to stand on your head ,it's on the right sidewilf wrote:By the way new to me is 1981 GL1100i what happened to the site glass. Buy one, I think JCwhitney still sells them. I know they are on evil bay.I wish I had a dipstick instead of that stupid siteglass on my 82.
That dipstick is an aftermarket item available from JC Whitney for $25.I wish I had a dipstick instead of that stupid siteglass on my 82.
I don't have to do that now with the new optional covers on my 2012.I only have to remove the engine cover to check the oil on my 1800.
Maybe you should upgrade since Honda listened to you.
