The Purolater is every bit as good as the Supertech..

14610 or 14612 are the numbers..

I have used 3 of them this year already (every 5000 miles) and they seem fine.

The website says that these below fit the GL-1500 grouped as "5".... recommendations are those of that website.

These Oil Filters
have 20 x 1.5mm threads,
14 psi by-pass valve,
anti-drain back valve,
2.3" O.D. gasket
2.5" to 3.5" long.
If you have the room, I recommend the longer filters.

Interesting read. So, apparently Champion and Fram are in bed together. :needahug:
I wonder what will happen to the Champion quality?

Wix is still owned by Dana, still supply the Napa (over priced), but these days, anything can happen overnight. Can we say CHINA?, down the road for most, if not all?

I use either Emgo or Parts Unlimited filters on all my bikes. I have always used SuperTech filters on my cars. So far Wix makes good filters, they are well known as a fleet filter, and are commonly used by professional fleet mechanics. Fram is JUNK, period. Anything made by Fram is junk. Filter brands men very little anymore, as the manufacturers keep changing. As was said, at some point, they will all be made in China. Honda is already getting some of their cheaper bikes and scooters from China.
