Oil leaking from GL1200 New Stator wires

I just replaced the stator on my 86 Aspencade and noticed that there is oil leaking where the stator wires come out of the case. I don't think oil should be leaking into where the stator is. Can someone confirm this?

Yes the stator runs in oil.
Did you use an aftermarket stator? Others here have had problems with the plugs on those not sealing well.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

Some of the cheap Chinese stators leak oil, due to a very poor quality sealing material.

oil leak

you can use some gasket sealer and push it into the wires at the casing. let it set up and that will work.
