I drove my motorcycle ,gl1100, for about 2 miles ...and found at the end of that my oil was leaking and that : 2 quarts brang it up to the top line in the window: How bad did I mess up my engine?
(i had just did my oil and didn't tighten the filter good enough)

Odds are that you didn't do any damage at all.

when i first bought my 1100 i was lookin everywhere for a oil site glass i couldnt find it to save my soul

it was hidden behind the floor boards lol it was about 2qts low and i was running it hard lol but needless to say it didnt hurt it at all

if the oil light goes off you have oil pressure if it comes on you dont have oil pressure good thing about those kinda "idiot" lights is what i referr to them as

Correct about the oil light. If it didn't come on, you should be ok.
