The restoration of my '81 GL1100 was interrupted by the purchase of my 2004 GL1800. At the time I was feeling the need to ride pretty bad and when I got the seat of that 1800 under me, the 1800 riding fun pretty much stalled out the 1100 project! LOL Oh well, it'll make a nice project for next winter!
I just returned a fortnight ago from a run to Dallas on said 1800 and I have to say, I am in, if not outright love, then certainly lust, with that machine. What a dream it is to ride and I just can't get enough of it!
Sorry for the over the top exuberation, but if I can't share with you guys, then I haven't a clue!

I'm jealous! Congratulations on the 1800! Now don't forget all about that old 1100 sitting out in the garage. It needs a little love and attention too you know!!

Makes me think, maybe I should restore mine hhmmmhhhhmhmmm

Don, I had same problem, but the replcement was a 1500, ended up letting a guy have the 1100 cheap but in bits, he is now restoring and at least there is another Wing rider on the road.

Bet that 1800 is the business, let's be having some pics soon!!
