:?My copilot is always saying that I have the volume too loud for her to enjoy the tunes. Her stock controller (on lower R. cubby), only varies the sound a tiny bit. Any cures out there? Could a different variable resistor be in order, and if so, what value? Thanks, and Happy New Year ALL YEAR!! jimsjinx

Hi there jimsjinx,

Yes the answer is what you have suggested. A new variable resistor can be worked in or I have seen aftermarket units for about $60 on EBay.

Not quite as pretty but will give your copilot the control she needs.

Type in "gl1500 audio control" and there will be results.
