Nearly 90% or more of the problems with being unable to log in with your new password have been traced to the web browser using old information that is stored in the cookies and "Saved Passwords".

Even though you manually enter the new correct password, the browser over-rides that with the one it has stored.

Please go to your browser's security or Privacy section and delete the old cookies and saved passwords that relate to GoldwingFacts.com

I will show how to clear them in Firefox and Chrome:

1st, this is for Firefox, Chrome is in the next post:

Firefox:

Tools/Options

Privacy: click on Show Cookies
enter: Goldwingfacts in the search box
then delete all of the cookies for GoldwingFacts

Security:

.... Logins
.......... click on Saved Logins

again, search for GoldwingFacts and delete all found

Now you can log into the forum and make sure you check the box "Remember Me"

this should resolve your problems

The same thing works for other browsers although the wording might be slightly different.

You can reach John, AZgl1800 at 918.613.9 5 ............tharee..... zaro....

All of our moderators can assist you also, but you will have to send them a Guest PM to catch them.

CHROME USERS Read This

Chrome Browsers:

top right corner, click on 3 dots.

Settings

Find and do the following:

Clear browsing data
Clear history, cookies, cache, and more

Find and do the following:
Manage passwords
Offer to save your web passwords

In the box on the right, open it up.

There will be a list of saved passwords for websites you have visited and logged into.

you have two choices, depending on what you want to do.

1) Simply delete all of them, that is the most secure way to have your browser.

2) in the search box at the top, enter GOLDWINGFACTS

that will cause only the passwords for our forum to appear, you must delete all of them that show up.

Now, you will be able to login into the forum again.
Make sure you click on the box REMEMBER ME

Thank you, that must be in the Windows format, I am using my Linux laptop most of the time anymore. The preferences sections must be slightly different.
