Past Painting Questions-----Job Complete

Greetings,
Over the past year I have posted many ‘painting’ questions.
Thanks to your suggestions (and a couple of books) I have just completed painting four of my Goldwings.
This was my first attempt at painting and after a few screw ups, I got it (almost) right.
I did the prep all last winter and ended up using Omni two stage and did two color . I finished off with three coats of clear.
If anyone is interested (and tells me how to post photos) I am most happy to share.
Thanks for the help, Lew

Hi Lew,

YES!!! Pictures!!! Please!!!

Make sure you reduce the size of them before you upload them. Reducing them to 640 x 480 while keeping the aspec ratio will give really good quality, be big enough for everyone. As well, it will reduce the size to post.

One question though...

Did you do two bikes?

If I am not mistaken (and I am no expert), the "Blue" photo looks like it may have come from a 1000 with Vetter equipment?

Actually I painted four bikes----but only got photos of three posted. (I had more problems posting the number 4 photos and ran out of time.) You are correct the blue guy is a 1976 GL1000 with after market luggage. The other two are 1981 GL1100s. Enjoy, Lew

Greetings,
Wda-83 Wing ask about the colors. The guy at the paint store gave me a book of colors and I used Honda (car) Blaze Orange and Kia Volcanic Red.
Also Wda-83 Wing— you look to be (almost) as old as me. I am 74.
Couple ask to see photos when I tup the parts back on. To that I add, “SAY WHAT!!!!” If I put those parts back on the machines, they may get scratched! No Way!! (It will take a while but I will post when I get the job done.):) :)
ANOTHER QUESTION: Next summer I will be painting my three CB750s. I would like to try some flames and designs. Does anyone have any suggestions as to books or photos showing ideas for designs?
Again I thank everyone for their help! Thanks, Lew

I just did my ( 1 ) Wing, I know it's a lot of work, but 4 ? Geez... :clapper:

Yeah, I see you only took apart the one false tank, that took me some effort finding just the right rivets to put that back together ... (plus some pix from Flyone)

Great workmanship, look foward to more pix... WOW
