Patriot Guard Rider Question

I understand that the PGR was originally founded in response to the low life protesters that would interfere with funerals of our service men and women.

My question is:

Do these protesters continue to exist in real life?
Or has PGR obliterated these scum?

I just don't hear anything on the news and wondered.

The nuts are still around, although the primary mission now is to honor. Havent heard of a protest in a long time.

O,they are still protesting,(funeral's) but they are kept so far away we can sheild the family with our bodies & Flags from them ever seeing them, (most of the time).

I'm not a patriot guard but have attended funeral's with them.

I am a member of the TFO(Task Force Omega/POW),and we also honor the fallen service men & women of our country.

That's the good and bad about our freedom of speech.

The anti- nuts get the same protection that everyone else enjoys.

I've been fortunate that the rides I've gone on had no protestors, just us crying bikers.

I'd imagine that it'll take more than the Patriot Guards to scare away Nancy Phelps and her kooky, bible thumping crew.

They just won a court ruling that said they have the right to protest at the funerals. I've never seen any of them at the funerals I've been to.

this past january there was a funeral for a KIA in Daytona Beach, we were told of the protesters and where their permit allowed them to stand. the PGR organized a rolling flag line for when the idiots tried to move across the street. the family never saw them(not even on the news).
what the protestors didn't know that the fire department was ready for a 'spot fire' if they strayed.

I have never seen a problem.

They've never shown up at any missions I've been on. But they are still out there and do still occasionally raise a stink, however their impact has been reduced to almost zero by the PGR and similar groups and organizations.

Working in the same city as their home base I can say they are alive and unwell. They are spending less time on funerals than in the past but they are still working at getting their message out - as demented as it is.

Actuallty, the "Patriot Guard" [a KS group and the first] was born in Mulvane, KS in response to disrupted funerals by Phelps, is a different organization than the National "Patriot Guard Riders".

Also, many states now have their own "Patriot Guard".

All are good.
