Ok guys feel really dumb now. I put a set of boards and a heel toe shifter on and sold my pegs and shifter. Now having trouble and want to put originals back on. Can anyone help?

I will look around. I belive I have a set of pegs off of my 81. And I will also look for a shifter... it may take a couple of days before I get back to you.

Recieved the pegs and shifter this morning. Put them on and the wing runs and rides like it did when I bought it.

That and the paint are the only things missing. Have the paint all but the clear, just have to get it laid on. dread the prep work but its worth it in the end.

I thought the boards allowed you to park the bike, and not need a center stand?? Now what??? ;)

rgbeard, I had trouble getting the linkage at the engine lined up, so I said forget it and put pegs and the original shifter back on. Not an issue with either stand at all this time. Just frustrated.

Sorry - I was being sarcastic - must'a missed you with that.

Implication - is that the boards limit your turning angle so much that you don't need to put down the stand when you get off your bike.

It's humor by exaggeration.
