Mom's not able to walk anymore, & can't get her on the Wing. But I wanted to get a picture of me & her beside it. Years ago(about 1957) before the thought of an iron butt ride, her & Dad rode from Petersburg, Indiana to Colorado Springs round trip in two days. They rode a "74 Harley". Or at least that's what I think they called it. They said the total trip was about 2,400 miles. Mom said she was crying out loud, by the time they got back home. Too bad she didn't have a Goldwing seat to sit on.;)

I bet given the chance and some help getting on it, "Mom" would be more than willing to take a ride on that beautiful GW.:D

I think your mums expression says it all, " youngsters today, don't know what riding is, look at that flippin' great sofa on wheels , call that a motorbike?!!!":goofygrin:

Bet it is good to hear the stories she can tell, of what she and your dad got up to on bikes, did you get your interest from them? I had no motorcycle "genes" to inherit, my mum wouldn't get within 50 yards of my Wing!!!:baffled:

Can't beat those "Hoosier Moms" !!

Sure she has a few great bike ride memories!

Of coarse that "74 Harley" after 2000 miles would have her shaking like a paint mixer!

I ride with a guy who has a 1977 "74", I must say it still runs great!

Personally I think next "April 1st" you should get some pipe and stick it between Moms wheel chair and the Wing and tell ,lets go for a ride "Mom"!
