White, or a darker/lighter shade of blue.

Midnight blue looks good with gold.

A lighter color will look good. When I bought mine the PO had covered the old flaking pinstripe with charcoal/silver like the originals. But it was peeling or the corners would come up after washing or waxing. I finally replaced it with newer white and it held for about 6 months then started doing the same. Finally painted and re-pin striped it all then finished it off with about 6 coats of clear. SO no more peeling when washing.

SO the auto 3M pinstripe will look good for about 6 months, but everytime you wash and wax you end up sticking the very tiny corners back down.I let the corner overlap then trim them at 45 degree angles so its all flat on the tank. It'll look sweet no matter which color you use, but clear coating is the only thing that will end all the aggravation with those corners.
