Just purchased my 1989 1500. It sat in a garage in Florida for several years. I have worked the mechanical issues out, but am unsure how to clean the plastic rotor covers and other parts. Plastic chrome worries me. To be safe I soaked them in warm water with some mild detergent and rubbed them with a soft polishing cloth - nothing! Is there a cleaner that will get rid of the gritty feel and allow me to shine them up without removing the "chrome"?

Thanks guys - I want this baby to sparkle - the rest of the paint is in great shape.
