Plastic headlight rock shield

Myfriend purchased a plastic rock shieldfor the headlight assembly on his 83 1100A many years ago. The problem is, now that the bike has 125,000 + miles on it the plastic is in bad shape and a replacement hasn't been found. Would anyone happen to know where to buy a shield, new or used in good shape?

Thanks,

Charlie

I bought one for my 1983 GL 1100A in 2007. Found a 'new' one on eBay for $43.00. 'New' meaning in the box but several years old. It is made by Drag Specialties, name: "Headlight Lens For Hondaline Fairings". Someone on this forum was looking at making or having one made but I can't find the link. Good luck and ride safe.

I found a source that can make new ones and tried to see who was interested in purchasing one. Because of setup costs, it made more sense to order in a quantity of 10. I got nobody interested and wasn't going to foot the bill for 10 so I didn't order any.

Here's the thread:

The guy emails me every so often to see if I still want him to make them for me.

Thanks for the information but I don't think we can get the price down to our level with only 2 or 3 people wanting one.

Meguiar's has some good products, in fact I have some on hand now.Our problem is that the corners are broken due to age and sunlight (UV).

Thanks
