been having an issue with the starting system on my 84 like the starter spins but wont catch to start, I kind of have a handle on it which hopefully involves a simple oil change. further more yesterday went to start the bike and the battery had drained so the bike didnt have enuff juice to start, "Keep in mind its been cold around here

so I put it on a trickle and it fired right up, rode around awhile brought it back home tried to start and the same thing happened. anyway just now put another trickle on it and it fired right up, volt check with the RPM @ 2K was past 14V , any thoughts on this?

Need to find out what the battery voltage is while it is under a load, like when it is cranking.
