Hi folks, the 1500 trike has started playing up.
On a ride started loosing power as if fuel starved then cut out, didnt want to restart but eventualy did, carried on but seemed down on power cut out a couple of times.
This is an early UK 1500 (88/89).
Leaning towards possible fuel pump or vacuum tap at moment, any ideas folks all suggestions welcome.
Cheers

Might be as simple as a plugged gas cap.
If it's not missfiring then yep, it's probably starving for fuel.

What was the outside temperature and how much fuel was in the tank at the time?

Just to add, the fuel pump operation is a very simple thing to check. Just need a jumper wire, some spare fuel line and a glass jar.
Torn rubber diaghpram on vacuum fuel shut off valve?? (If they even had that valve on the early 1500 Gold Wings.) Maybe a plugged fuel filter? I got some bad gas one time that I had a heck of a time with.

my '98 1500 had a weak fuel pump, replaced it with a NAPA unit

A few simple things to check, 1, fuel cap venting properly, 2, in-line fuel filter, 3, fuel vacuum shut off valve under fuel tank access lid, 4, fuel pump filter screen/sock, (you’ll have to pull the fuel pump out of the tank to clean the screen/sock.)
