Hi
86' GL1200 asp.
When i start the engine, it sound like it work on 3 pistons (little bit of rough rattling).
It start (cold) around 1000 RPM with no choke. when it getting warmer the RPM go down and at the end it will shut off.
If I'm driving it, every stop it will shut off.
After start, If I'll touch the front left tube that came out of the carburetor to the engine, it's colder than the 3 other.

any idea?
sorry for my English.

carb problems

If the bike has been sitting for a while, you will have to clean the carbs. You might try a product called Seafoam that's available in the U.S..

I have never had much luck with it, but people on this and other Goldwing forums swear by it.

If you have never cleaned carbs before, try to find someone knowledgeable to help you. Or pay a shop to do it.

If you do not have a manual, GET ONE!!

There are threads on this forum about cleaning carbs, but your best bet is to get help if you have never done it.

Good luck.
