Problem with Center Stand

I don't know what's wrong with my center stand, but I cannot get the bike up on it. I have a friend who has an '87 Aspy, and he puts his up really easily. He has said that mine just doesn't go up on the stand well.

I'm not a big or strong guy, so if there's some sort of replacement that works better, I'd be interested.

Thanks.

hows the air in your suspension?

It's within the range specified on the gauges. Tires are well-inflated, too.

maybe its the way you place yourself when you try to put it up on the stand. you cannot put it on like a 500 cc.
has the centerstand been changed ?

I'm able to put my friend's GL1200 up on his stand with no problem, so I have to assume that something's wrong with my center stand. I think I'll take it off and be sure that the feet are still "rounded." I bought this stand used since the one that came with my bike was bent.

Are you sure that it is the proper stand for this bike? If the legs are too long, you will be trying to lift the bike alot higher that with the stock stand.

Bought it on Ebay from someone who was parting out an '85 Aspy.
