I bought a set of progressive fork springs for my new-to-me 86 Aspy this spring, and proceeded to install them. Turns out the bike already had a set installed! I still used the new set I had purchased, but saved the old set. I bought the bike used, and the springs must have been installed when the original owner had the sidecar installed. Had I known this, I could've saved myself the $80 + shipping on a new set. If someone here can use the old ones, thinking $35 + actual shipping? The pictures are in the box the new set came in...

The new progressives were identical to the old ones. Same length, coil wrap, everything. As far as I know, the 1200 originally came with a two piece spring. If someone knows different, please tell me. The Progressive part number is 11-1122, if you would like to verify fitment.
