Putting Moly 60 on splines

I need some advice please. I will be removing the rear tire soon and I need to put moly 60 on the front splines of the driveshaft ,where the U joint is. I pulled back the rubber boot by the U joint and it still looks pretty good inside, clean and some lubricant still around the splines , what I could see that is. My question is when I remove the driveshaft will I be able to move the U joint back far enough inside the swingarm to clean and grease the splines on the front of the U joint after pulling back the rubber boot? or will I have to remove the swingarm and U joint in order to get the u joint back far enough to do the job correctly? I have seen somewhere the 84 model was different in this area and that the swingarm had to come out. I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

ive recently been working on 1000 and 1100 swingarms im not sure about 1200 but you take off snap ring at end of motor output shaft then remove final drive unit and the shaft sould pull back enough to grease . ithink the 1200 works the same

There is enough room to slide u-joint back off output....... but is tight. I use a small paint brush to apply moly60
