Will a water pump off of an 80-81 GL1100 fit on an 83 GL1100 Aspencade?

Yes, all 1100 engines are the same.

all 1000 and 1100 use the same water pumps . not sure if the 1200 is the same or not. anyone know??

The 1200's are different for the same year according to my ex Certified retired Honda Mechanic. I found one on flea bay for a steal! 30.00 Hope it works. I tool the one off of my 80 GL1100, and it weeps about 2-3 drops of coolant per minute. The rear seal is good, no wabble, and I changed all o- ring set. I founf out with the former bad pump my water pump shaft is off "up and down" 1/100 of an inch because of wear. I was thinking about putting some teflon tape around the water seal 0- Ring, but I am going to try another pump first.
