David , the weep hole is there to let coolant drip if the water seal goes bad . You may or may not have coolant getting into the oil .
On the inside of the front cover ,where the 3 bolts hold the water pump in place You should have an oil seal . This keeps the oil seperated from the water . If that seal goes bad and the ceramic water pump seal is bad then coolant might enter the oil . When replacing the water pump you should replace that seal as well . I think it comes in the gasket set to replace the water pump .
