I think you should just by my bike and be done with it I dont think there is much differance between the SE and the Aspy.... I'm sure there will be someone along shortly to answer your question :waving:

Besides the name difference, the SE's have as standard, CB, foot heaters, adjustable passenger floorboards, 2 tone paint scheme, lighted trunk spoiler, 4 speaker sound system and(there's probably more that I have forgotten)a higher price.

If they are both in equally good shape and mileage, the SE would definitely be the better buy.

I have the 99 Aspy and love it. Aside from the upgrades the SE has such as the CB etc., they are equal in all other ways. Like was said, if you can get either one for around the same price, go with the SE unless the Aspy is in better condition. As far as the CB goes, I ride to get away from all the cell phones and other means of communication. CB's do have their place especially when traveling in a group for long distances, but I love the solitude of no one being able to contact me. I am also a single paint color type of guy. I love the Candy Spectra Red...solid...without the two tone. Again...just my preference. Having said all of that...I would never turn down the chance to own an SE if I were in the market for a Goldwing.
