I would like to know. I would love to trade some nice bates for a set of vetters, if anyone is intrested. Mine are in 99.9% Perfect, with all parts. Looks much better than Pic.

I don't know nightrider1 I really like the bates bags, I just put a set on my GL 1100. After I get the fairing I will be ready to paint

I am not sure I would trade. I have a friend that rides an old KZ1100 to work. It has vetter bags. And everytime he opens one up something falls out. I just bought a Kawasaki Concours and the bags work like a vetter, where the whole side opens. Things fall out of them also. My 81 has a vetter fairing and Hondaline bags. I think that is the best of both worlds.

I personally like the Vetters. My Wing currently has Vetter bags, trunk and fairing. In addition I have a 1984 KZ1000Police that I have fitted the Vetter bags on.

To be fair though I have never had the Bates bags, so I really cannot compare them.

I like the look of my vetters, however.... the bags leak like a sieve
