just purchased 98 GL-1500 & PO had a radar detector remotely installed in front grill.
I noticed in left side pocket a Kennedy Technology box for radar monitor, its output pig-tail is a 5-pin din to my helmet headset jack. Can someone tell me how it monitors the detector, does the intercom have to be on and level turned up, radio on and turned up or does the detectors audio appear at the headset din plug. I have been driving for several runs & have not heard any detector notifications. My radio, intercom & CB all appear in my headset when required. I ride solo so have kept the i/c off.
