I know a lot of others will blow a gasket on this but yes you can. I use a car radial on the rear and a bias on the front and can't beat the handling. I haven't tried or heard of that combination so you would have to gradually work into it to find it's limits if any.

Of course you can do it. But why would you want to mix radial and bias ply motorcycle tires?

I do know one person that had a bias ply front tire mounted on her GL1800 by mistake. She claimed the handling was poor on dry road and dangerous in wet conditions.

Are you sure your metz 880 isn't a radial? I don't see a bias ply 130/70 17 listed on there web site.
