I had wrote before about whine noise on the radio and about installing a cd changer. Well I installed it yesterday and guess what? no more radio whine however the cd changer quit working now and shows an error code and won't eject the cd's bummer!!! but no fm whine any more.oh well the cd changer was a freebe. I may just buy another one. i'm just glad the whine is gone

I took apart my cd chabger and fixed it the mechanism that pulls the cd out of the magizine jammed.so all is cool now:clapper:I now can play cd's and no more nasty fm whine so I guess the fix to radio whine is install a remote cd changer. It worked for me!!!!!

That whine you hadcpuld bedown to the tuner being faulty. I had this same problem opn mine and sent it away for repair, cost €85 and was worth it.

Did you install the CD changer in a 1500 or an 1800 GL? If you installed it in a 1500 GL would you describe the installation?

I'm assuming the CD changer is a Hondaline product?

the install was in an 85 1200 I installed the changer in the right side bag and the junction block under the tank cover and ran the remote out to the lt faring pouch. rode to work this morning and all was well
