Installed FM modulator and volume would not get very loud. Removed all installation and tried radio which now has low volume even when turned all the way up. Could I have shorted something out when lifting the cover on the front to run the wires forward? I only plugged the modulator into the antenna.
Thanks for any input.

There is a 5amp fuse to check, might be in the relay panel behind the left saddlebag. It controls power to a relay for the sound.

Not sure if it would effect volume, but there is a green grounding wire coming off of the radio. Did you ground that to a screw on the radio shelter?

Success!
There was a blown 5amp fuse in the relay box. Had to loosen the left saddlebag to get the cover off.
Thanks for the help,
Albert

I am having the same problem with my radio. Were you having problems with your clock/radio resetting every time you turned the key off as well? I am hoping this will fix my problem. Thanks!
